Testimonials

Two Man Movers helped us move from Park City to SLC this past week. Can’t say enough how solid, thorough, fast and careful they were with everything. 100% recommend every member of the crew and the company. Huge thanks!

Dave Pomeranz

The office staff was friendly and responded quickly to any concerns we had. The guys who came to pack the house and move our furniture were professional, hardworking, and went out of their way to make sure it was a good experience for us. My husband said they worked like a well-oiled machine. Very efficient and good at what they do.

My experience with Two Man Movers was professional from beginning to end. Lila was great at helping answer questions keeping me informed and if she did not know an answer she found it. Andrew & Christian were both professional, packed everything with care, and moved in a timely manner. They listened to all instructions and went above and beyond. This is a great company for your moving needs.

Layton Moving Experience

Many people looking to settle down in Layton or move away search for a mover in Davis County Utah. When looking for the best, look no further than Two Man Movers & Storage. We’ve been handling the moving and storage needs all around the Salt Lake City area since 1999.

When picking a company to handle your moving experience, you’ll want a professional moving company with credentials, experience and a focus on customer service.

While shopping around for a moving company, you should ask them a number of things besides what dates they are available and what their prices are. We’ve compiled a list of things you should ask each prospective moving company:

  • Are they fully licensed and insured? Ask if you can see proof of insurance, liability coverage or something similar.
  • What safety precautions do they take? Do they wrap your furniture in shrink wrap before placing it in storage for months on end? Do they have a home protection kit they bring with them to each move?
  • Ask what services are included in your move. Sometimes movers offer additional complimentary services.
  • Do they bring their own equipment to the job, or is that something you’re expected to provide? We suggest hiring movers that bring their own equipment, like dollies, ladders and furniture wraps.

City of Layton, UT

North from Salt Lake City lies the city of Layton. Like many Utah cities, it was founded in the 1800s by Latter-Day Saint settlers. However, the founding of Layton has a significant twist. It began as an outgrowth of nearby Kaysville, and the area of Layton and Kaysville were incorporated as a singular city in 1868. However, 20 years later, the citizens of the Layton area wanted out. A lawsuit ensued, and it reached the Supreme Court in 1894 as the case Linford vs. Ellison. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Layton becoming a new town, which was founded in 1902.

Today, Layton is a bedroom community to Salt Lake City. It’s also close to Ogden and Hill Air Force Base, with plenty of jobs and houses in the surroundings areas.  With a population of around 75,000, almost 50% of the households are families with children under the age of 18.

Like so many other cities in Utah, Layton has a close relationship with the mountains and outdoors. Plenty of hiking trails, including direct access to Antelope Island, will appeal to the outdoor lovers. The east side of the city borders the Wasatch Mountain Range, which offers plenty of wildlife and outdoor recreational opportunities.

Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly community near the mountains and Salt Lake City, Layton is a great place for you to live!
