Rights and Responsibilities of the Shipper 

Read Carefully-This Could Affect The Efficiency of Your Move  

NON-BINDING ESTIMATE – I understand that the estimate given to me by Two Man Movers is nonbinding.

THIS IS JUST AN ESTIMATE.  

 The Customer: 

  •  Agrees to have ALL accessways clear – I understand that it is my responsibility as the shipper to have ALL accessways cleared and safe prior to the arrival of the movers. Sidewalks MUST be shoveled down to a concrete surface and salted/ ice melted prior to the arrival. Driveways MUST be plowed and/or shoveled to an asphalt or concrete surface and salted/ ice melted prior to the arrival of the movers to allow proper access for the trucks and safe access for the crew. I understand that I will be responsible and billed for the time caused by any delays due to accessibility. I understand that I will be responsible and billed for anytime accrued if accessways are not cleared properly and it prevents the movers from conducting the move. If the delivery is prevented due to accessibility to the accessways, I understand that I will be responsible and billed for the time to take the belongings to storage, either self-storage or Two Man Movers storage, and any storage related costs including warehouse handling. 
  • Agrees to clear ALL pathways – I understand that obstruction of any pathway the moving crew will be using must be cleared and safe. Also, hallways and access to household goods to be transported must have a clear pathway. (e.g., boxes, small loose items, trash) This also pertains to keeping kids and pets out of the work area. 
  • Agrees to disconnect ALL water and gas lines – I understand that Two Man Movers can NOT disconnect any electronics, appliances, water lines or gas lines. All televisions, game consoles, appliances and any other electronics MUST be unplugged from wall outlets prior to the move day. All gas and water lines will be disconnected by the shipper, such as washers and dryers, refrigerators, freezers, waterbeds, aquariums and propane from gas grills.  
  • Agrees to separate ALL goods to be transported by shipper– I understand that all household goods that I will be transporting will be clearly marked and separated from the items that I wish to be transported by Two Man Movers.  
  • Agrees to use proper material to assure safe transport– I understand that Two Man Movers offers packing material for items that need protection during the move. For example T.V. boxes, mirror cartons, mattress bags and boxes. Refusal of these materials will waive Two Man Movers of any liability. Items that may need extra protection but not limited to grandfather clocks, marble tops, glass tops, pictures, lamps, televisions, mattresses, electronics, and fabrics. In the event a grandfather clock is being shipped, the shipper is responsible for the removal of the pendulum, weights and chimes.   
  • Acknowledges of items not to be transported by Two Man Movers – Propane tanks, chemicals, paint, perishable goods, ink cartridges, batteries, caulking or silicon, all liquids that are not factory sealed, oil, fuel, cleaners, aerosol cans, and live animals or plants. If shipper requests that Two Man Movers move live plants, any soil damage caused to the shipment will NOT be subject to a claim and TMM will NOT be liable.   
  • Agrees to make parking arrangements prior to move day – I understand that I am responsible for requesting parking permits if necessary.(Park City Main Street, Avenues SLC) If there is nowhere to park at the time of movers arrival, the crew will start the clock while searching for a reasonable and safe loading or unloading site. I understand that the driver reserves the right to park where he sees fit to perform duties with maximum safety and efficiency. 
  • Agrees to be present during the full duration of the move – I understand that I must be present from the initial walkthrough, throughout the move and until the final walkthrough is complete. In the event that I am not available the day of the move, if I appoint an authorized agent to be there, I understand it must be someone that I approve to sign papers, make decisions, and is authorized to sign for my credit card. The authorized agent must also have access to storage units, safes etc. I understand the time will run continuously until all equipment and tools are back on the truck and full payment is collected.   
  • Having cash, credit card, debit card, or certified funds ready at the time of payment will save time and money. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS.
